Biography

Dr. Joydip Dhar is presently working as a Professor in Applied Sciences Department at ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior. Prof. Dhar has done his Ph. D. from IIT, Kanpur, in 1997, has been associated with the teaching profession and research for the past 26 years. He has published about 150 papers in his areas of interest and proficiency in Internationally reputed journals. He has guided 20 Ph.D., more than 140 M.Tech and B.Tech. theses and currently six students are pursuing Ph.D. under his guidance. Delivered more than 50 invited lectures at different Universities and Institutions in India and abroad (U.K., Sweden).  Co-authored two research book published by International Lambert academic publishing house and CRC Press. Conducted several conferences and short-term courses. He is a life member of many professional societies ISTE, IMS, ISMMACS and the annual member of the American Mathematical Society (AMS). Fellow of IAMMS. Participated in the prestigious ACM-ICPC world finals as a mentor in Stockholm, Sweden 2009. Currently he is the regional contest director of ICPC Gwalior Asia West Regional Contest. He received the Dewang Mehta National Education Awards, Shiksha Rattan Puraskar, and many others. He is a recipient of the Inspired teacher award and attended a prestigious eight days in-Residence Program for Inspired Teachers at Rashtrapati Bhavan, one of the highest honors and recognition for any teacher. His current area of research is Mathematical Modelling and Simulation of Environmental, Managerial and Engineering systems.
