Wireless Sensor Network Laboratory

Objectives and Activities

This laboratory is open to research in areas of Cross layer IEEE 802.13.4, Application layer, and MAC layer directed at specific WSN (wireless sensor network) requirements. These areas of research are meant for students undergoing M. Tech program in Computer Science and Engineering.

 

Infrastructure

Hardware installation of this laboratory includes: TelosB motes, IRIS motes; Peryton SDK, Peryton Script, and Peryton single channel network analyzer. Software tools used comprise OpNet Wireless suite, and OpNet simulator. Zilog development boards in the laboratory allow application prototyping for smart homes. Simulator is used in ZigBee applications.
