Biography

Dr. Mishra, an academician and researcher, embarked on his journey at ABV-IIITM Gwalior in July 2023, assuming the role of an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Sciences. With a commendable record of over 3.5 years of postdoctoral experience at renowned global institutions, Dr. Mishra brings a profound wealth of knowledge to his current position.

Dr. Mishra earned PhD in applied mathematics with a specialization in mathematical ecology from the esteemed National Institute of Technology Raipur in March 2019. Prior to that, he obtained his M.Sc in Mathematics and Scientific Computing from MNNIT Allahabad. Notably, Dr. Mishra's academic journey includes the prestigious European ERCIM postdoc fellowship, which facilitated his postdoctoral research at the University of Warsaw, a prominent institution in the academic realm.

In March 2021, Dr. Mishra embarked on a new chapter in his academic journey, joining the Norwegian University of Life Sciences in Norway. During his tenure at this esteemed institution, he expanded his expertise, focusing on conceptual mathematical modeling for sustainable development. Here, he developed a profound background in slow-fast dynamical systems, adding an invaluable dimension to his research repertoire. Dr. Mishra also ventured into the intricate world of stochastic differential equations applied to biology, further enriching his multifaceted skill set and deepening his contributions to the field.

Dr. Mishra's research pursuits are marked by a passionate focus on mathematical modeling of natural systems, with a special emphasis on the field of life sciences. His expertise shines in the realm of dynamical systems modeling, enabling him to delve deep into complex sustainability issues intertwined with ecology and the environment. His primary research interests revolve around the captivating chemotaxis phenomenon observed in ecological species interactions, which he diligently explores through complex mathematical models.

In his scholarly endeavors, Dr. Mishra is driven by a profound curiosity, employing mathematical models that encompass differential equations, including ODEs, PDEs, and stochastic equations. He is particularly dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of these equations, deciphering their large-time behavior, stability, bifurcation of solutions, and their intricate connections with real-world systems. Furthermore, he applies his mathematical acumen to conduct numerical simulations, providing valuable insights into the approximation of solutions.

Dr. Mishra's academic contributions extend beyond his research, as he has actively participated in and presented talks at numerous national and international conferences, sharing his valuable insights and fostering intellectual exchange within the academic community. His dedication to advancing the frontiers of mathematical ecology and dynamical systems modeling exemplifies his commitment to the pursuit of knowledge and the betterment of our understanding of the natural world.
