Prof. Naval Bajpai

Biography

Prof. Naval Bajpai is a distinguished academician, researcher, and author with over 29 years of diverse experience spanning higher education, research, and industry. He is currently serving as a Professor at ABV–Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM Gwalior), where he is widely recognized for his scholarship in statistics, research methodology, marketing analytics, and behavioural sciences.

Prof. Bajpai holds a Ph.D. in Management along with postgraduate degrees in Statistics and Business Administration from Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. He is a UGC-NET qualified faculty member and a lifetime member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), reflecting his long-standing contribution to technical and management education.

He has authored five seminal textbooks published by Pearson Education- Business Statistics, Research Methodology, Business Research Methods, Marketing Research, and a co-authored volume Quantitative Analysis—that are widely used across top universities and  Indian B-schools. His academic influence is further underscored by the publication of over 75 research papers in Scopus, ABDC, and SCI/SSCI/ESCI/SCIE-indexed journals and other journals, covering themes such as consumer behaviour, public sector reform, elder care, and advanced analytics.

Beyond the classroom, Prof. Bajpai has successfully guided 17 Ph.D. scholars, with three doctoral candidates currently under his supervision. He has led and contributed to several research projects funded by national agencies such as ICSSR and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

Prof. Bajpai has held academic positions at reputed institutions including Indian Institute of Management, Raipur, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, and Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg. He is a sought-after trainer and resource person, having conducted numerous Executive and Faculty Development Programs (EDPs and FDPs) in areas such as multivariate analysis, research methodology, and statistical modelling.

In addition to his academic accomplishments, Prof. Bajpai is the author of a Hindi poetry collection titled Is Kolahal Mein Meri Kaun Sune, reflecting his creative depth and philosophical engagement with contemporary life. This literary contribution complements his analytical rigor with introspective humanism.

Prof. Bajpai has also served in key administrative roles at ABV-IIITM Gwalior, including Chairperson of the Ph.D. Programme, Anti-Ragging Committee, MBA Admissions, and several institutional boards including member present academic senate and academic committees.

His professional journey exemplifies a unique blend of analytical precision, academic leadership, and cultural sensitivity making him a respected voice in both academic and public spheres.
