Dr. Dheeraj has over 11 years of experience in software development, teaching, and Research and Development (R&D). He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Mahindra University (2025) and as a DAAD Postdoctoral Fellow in Germany (2024–2025). He worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Apollo Computing Laboratories (2019–2025) and as a Software Project Consultant for Mission Bhagiratha, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Government of Telangana (2017–2019). His earlier experience includes roles as a Java Programmer at Inverselogix, Hyderabad, and a Software Engineer at Apollo Computing Laboratories. His research interests include natural language processing, deep learning, explainable AI, and mental health analytics, and he has published research articles in reputed journals and conferences. He also serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals and conferences and has been involved in academic and software development projects.
