Dr. Sharif holds a Doctorate Degree in Operations Management, earned under the mentorship of Prof. Ashok K. Mittal of the Department of Industrial & Management Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. He also holds an MBA degree in Materials Management. He brings with him over 30 years of extensive administrative experience in premier academic and research institutions.

Prior to joining ABV–Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior, Dr. Sharif served as Registrar at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvananthapuram. He is essentially a permanent employee of IIT Kanpur, where his professional roots are firmly established.

Besides his administrative legacy, Dr. Sharif has made significant contributions to research and scholarship also. He has published 19 research papers in reputed national and international journals and several articles in Scopus-indexed conference proceedings. Additionally, he has presented 21 papers at international conferences held in countries including Hungary, Malaysia, Turkey, Thailand, Singapore, and India.

Dr. Sharif has delivered numerous guest lectures at Central Universities and leading Management Institutions. He has also served as a Keynote Speaker and Chaired Technical Sessions at several international conferences.

Dr. Sharif has also authored a book titled “Materials and Purchase Management: Theory and Practice”, published by Narosa Publishing Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi. In recognition of his scholarly and administrative contributions, he has received several awards for his outstanding publications including Best Officer Award at IIT Kanpur.
