GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND DETAILS FOR STUDENTS
Dear Graduating Students,
The Convocation 2026 of the institute is scheduled to take place on 11th July 2026 in an in-person mode for all graduating students of 2026, bringing forth joy and celebration.
Date of issue of Uttari (Stole), admit card and food coupons: 10th July 2026; 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Admin Block, Room: 007; in front of Main Auditorium)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

(i) |
It is compulsory to attend the rehearsal for attending the Convocation ceremony (in case a student fails to attend the convocation rehearsal on the schedule date and time, he/she shall not be allowed to attend the final convocation ceremony). |

(ii) |
The programme for Rehearsal/Convocation will remain unchanged. |
|
|
(iii) |
Briefcases/Bags/Edibles and any objectionable materials will not be allowed in the Convocation venue. |

(iv) |
The list of students eligible to receive degrees in this Convocation can be accessed on the website www.iiitm.ac.in or will be communicated via email. Students are kindly asked to review their names and details for accuracy and to promptly report any discrepancies to This email address is being protected from spambots. Lunch coupons for you and your family will be provided at the registration desk by the Convocation Committee. |

Accommodation may be provided only to the degree recipient and guest on a payment basis as per availability and first come first serve basis. Please fill the details in the registration form. |

The Degree Certificate will be given only to the students who have cleared all dues and attended the rehearsal on the 10th of July 2026. |

DRESS CODE FOR DEGREE RECIPIENTS FOR CONVOCATION-2026
Convocation-2026 of the Institute is scheduled to be held on 11th July 2026, 10:30 AM. The dress code for the Convocation ceremony is as follows:
Degree Recipients (Male)
Attire Type: Kurta (Cream Colour), Pyjama (White)
Kurta Style: Knee-length, Full-sleeved, Nehru Style
Degree Recipients (Female)
Attire Type: Cream Colour Kurta, Churidar/Leggings (White)
Kurta Style: Knee-length, Full/3-quarter sleeved, preferably Nehru Style
OR
Saree -Golden bordered Cream Colour
(b) Footwear
Formal shoes or sandals are preferred. Casual footwear of any kind is strongly discouraged.
Important Points:
- Please complete your registration by 25th June 2026, 5 PM.
- Degree recipients are required to make their own arrangements for the
Convocation dresses as specified above. - Degree recipients failing to adhere to the dress code specified here will not be permitted entry into the Convocation Hall.
- As part of the Convocation-2026, the Institute will provide Degree recipients with Uttari (stole) upon their arrival, included in the registration fees.
- Rehearsal is compulsory for the degree recipients on 10th July 2026 at 4:00 PM.
- A group photograph of all degree recipients will be taken immediately after the rehearsal.
